A full day charter on the Stuffer
gives you an opportunity to get "WAY" offshore,
up to 30 miles. I have tackle on board for any situation
as you never know what you might run into in the course
of 8 hours.
Our full day charters offer the most variety: including
grouper, amberjack, mangrove snapper, blackfin tuna,
king mackerel and any number of "surprise"
fish. Additional fish sometimes includes African pompano,
cobia, permit, jewfish, octopus, dolphin (mahi-mahi)
or shark. I use shrimp by the hundreds as well as live
pinfish, grunts, squirrelfish, and frozen sardines.
The beauty of an 8 hour trip
is that we can fish for several species, not being bound
by time to target one or two types. Amberjack and grouper
will punish you, heavy tackle and a harness is required
for these brutes. Tuna, cobia, pompano are taken on
a medium spinner free-lined off the stern, while we
fish for other species. Snapper will delight you with
their crafty bite and the skill required to set the
shrimp tipped jig. It's easy to learn and a blast to
do.
We return at 3 p.m. or there
abouts and I get busy with the trusty electric fillet
knife to clean the many fish in the box - - all the
while you watch or relax in the boat with a cold beer
or soda. |
